Zanac - NES

Zanac is an NES shoot’em up video game featuring fast vertical space-combat action. The game stands out for its ALC Automatic Level of Difficulty Control system, which adjusts enemy strength, quantity, and placement based on attack patterns and skill level.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Control the AFX-6502 ZANAC fighter against an enemy “system” created by an ancient organic intelligence.
• Eight special weapons and hidden power forces expand the fighter’s offensive options during play.
• The campaign spans twelve screens filled with enemy creatures and shifting attack patterns.
• Enemy locations can vary from game to game, giving each run a different layout and challenge curve.

The ALC feature gives Zanac a distinctive place among NES shooters by tying difficulty changes directly to in-game performance. Its story centers on the 256th Riot Fleet’s fighter craft as humanity’s last defense against the attacking system.
